For whatever reason

you are nice

to those who hate

and sabotage your cause.

You bend and break

for those who never

care to support anything you do.

You kiss and hug

those who need

to trash you out

for never a care of

you or yours.

Yet with me

you have a detest

so strong it burns

under your skin

lashes out every day

keeps you burning

through endless days

and long nights.

Though I have always been

here to take your abuse

harsh words

cold heart,
